There is/there are in all kinds of sentences
We use the construction there is / there are to describe that something exists, is present, is situated somewhere. To form it, we use the word “there” and the verb “be”. “Be" changes depending on the tense and the singular/plural. The exercises on this page are recommended for beginners.
