Phrasal verbs are composed of two or three words. Their meaning can be very different from the meaning of the verb itself. For example, give up (admit defeat, stop doing something), get on (progress), put up with (tolerate). We can divide these verbs into a few categories: particle and prepositional. transitive and intransitive, separable and inseparable. The exercises on this page will help you practise the common phrasal verbs and their unique features.
