So and such exercises

The difference in use between the words “so” and “such”.

Read explanation

The words so and such have the same meaning but there is a difference in their use. We say “such” if there is a noun in the phrase (such a nice day), but we say “so” if there is no noun (so quickly, so cheap). We should also use “so” before the words many, much, few, little. The exercises on this page will help you practise how to choose between so and such correctly and firmly memorize the rule.
