Sounds of letters I and Y exercises

Most often, the letters i and y give one of these vowel sounds: / ɪ /, / aɪ /, / ɜː /, / ɪː /. And although the same pattern can be read in different ways (compare -ine in shine and machine), the knowledge of patterns still makes it easier to read English words.
