There are auxiliary and main verbs in English. Main verbs express an action. Auxiliary verbs are helping verbs, they don't have their own meaning. We use them together with a main verb to form tenses and constructions. The basic auxiliary verbs are be, do and have. The exercises on this page will help you practise these verbs and also revise common English verb tenses.
