Modal verb "should"

We say should do something / shouldn't do something when we recommend or do not recommend to do that, when we express that it is a good or a bad idea to do that. "Should" is less strict than "must", it is a recommendation and not an obligation.

Remember: should + infinitive

We often say
I think ... should …
I don’t think … should …
Do you think … should…?

Examples

I think you should change your job.

I think I should buy that phone.

I don't think you should care about it.

I don't think Richard should study abroad.

Do you think I should apologize?

Do you think we should call a taxi now?
