Present Simple for regular actions — reference

We use the Present Simple Tense when we speak about something permanent and regular.

We may divide these cases into three conditional groups:

common knowledge (for example, The moon goes round the Earth)
more or less permanent situations, skills, preferences (for example, We live in Paris)
habits, regular actions (for example, I meet my friends every Friday)
