To have/get something done means we don't do the job ourselves but we ask someone to do it for us.
Formation: have/get + object + past participle
You can use any tense or use "have"/"get" with a modal verb.
Examples
Theresa had her hair cut.
John is going to have his car serviced.
How often do you have your apartment cleaned?
I've just had this jacket cleaned, and now it's dirty again.
You should have this socket repaired at last.
